In order to ensure that staff are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver safe and effective care, Fairlie Healthcare provides a comprehensive training programme for every new employee, including a mandatory four-day induction process.
Additionally, to ensure that staff continue to hone their skills and keep abreast of changes in legislation and best practice, we have developed a training matrix that reflects the five domains set out by the Care Quality Commission – Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led – and all employees are required to undergo this training on an annual basis.
This runs from January – October of each calendar year, and based on the positive impacts of these trainings, through various reviews/testament we have also started a training arm, where staff of other organisations come to be trained by our Clinical trainers.
With consistent supervision, specialist trainers (whom are brought into the home to compliment and extend our training and development programme) focus and encourage our teams to further develop their knowledge and qualifications to enhance their career progression.
All policies, practice and procedures are based on up to date research to meet the core values of Fairlie Healthcare and Professional Registration Organisations, the goal of which is to meet and exceed the requirements of our Registering body, the CQC.

Following the Statement from the Prime Minister on 23rd March 2020 and the advice from Public Health England, we have taken the difficult decision to close our doors to all visitors until further notice. The only exception to this rule will be essential visits by healthcare professionals.
We are committed to maintaining the health and well-being of our residents, staff members and the wider community and we very much appreciate your cooperation and understanding at this very difficult time.
